Apply for a Protection Order

To apply for a Protection Order, you'll need to fill out an application, an affidavit and the information for Police. You can either download and print the forms to fill them out by hand, or save them onto your computer to fill out. You'll then need to print them single sided and take them to a Family Court.

Use this form if you want to be appointed as a representative for a child, a person lacking capacity, or a person unable to apply personally for an order.

Responding to orders

Respond to a Temporary Protection Order or an application for a Protection Order

If you're the respondent to a Temporary Protection Order, fill out this form if you want the Court to hear your views on whether the temporary order should be made final (permanent). You'll also need to fill out an affidavit [PDF, 198 KB].

Objection to direction to attend a programme

If you're the respondent to a Protection Order, you'll probably have been directed to attend a non-violence programme. You can object to that direction or ask for it to be varied by filling out this form:

Vary or discharge an order

The protected person or the respondent can apply to discharge (cancel) or vary (change) a Protection Order or Property Order.

Don't fill out an information sheet if you're applying for a Protection Order. You may need to complete an information sheet in other situations – please ask Court staff for advice.
