This is the current list of offenders that have been awarded compensation - surnames K-O:

Matthew Garland Kelly

A compensation payment has been made to Matthew Garland Kelly in respect of a specified claim under the Prisoners’ and Victims’ Claims Act 2005 (the Act).

The Act requires that after the Secretary of Justice makes certain deductions from the compensation payment, the surplus remaining goes into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account to enable victims of Matthew Garland Kelly to make claims against it.

Any money left after any victims’ claims have been paid will be paid to Matthew Garland Kelly.

On 11 May 2021, $1,000.00 was paid into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account on behalf of Matthew Garland Kelly.

The money paid into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account is held in trust for Matthew Garland Kelly until it has been paid out in accordance with subpart 2 of Part 2 of the Act.

Any person who has been a victim of Matthew Garland Kelly, in respect of an offence for which Matthew Garland Kelly was convicted in a Court of New Zealand, is entitled to make a claim against the money held in the Trust Account on behalf of Matthew Garland Kelly.

Claims by victims are not limited to the amount available in the Trust Account.

The Act requires that after the Secretary of Justice makes certain deductions from the compensation payment, the surplus remaining goes into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account to enable victims of Dean Francis Morrison to make claims against it.

Any money left after any victims’ claims have been paid will be paid to Dean Francis Morrison.

On 29 April 2021, $38,272.00 was paid into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account on behalf of Dean Francis Morrison.

The money paid into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account is held in trust for Dean Francis Morrison until it has been paid out in accordance with subpart 2 of Part 2 of the Act.

Any person who has been a victim of Dean Francis Morrison, in respect of an offence for which Dean Francis Morrison was convicted in a Court of New Zealand, is entitled to make a claim against the money held in the Trust Account on behalf of Dean Francis Morrison.
